Working days "Europe in the 21st century: Values, Limits and European Citizenship: a contribution from the Basque Country to the Plan 'D' (Democracy, Dialogue and Debate)" (Bilbao, 11-12 April 2006)

Conclusions

The General Secretariat of External Affairs of the Presidency of the Basque Government, through the Directorate of European Affairs and the Delegation of the Basque Country in Brussels, organises the working days "Europe in the 21st century: Values, Limits and European Citizenship: a contribution from the Basque Country to the Plan 'D' (Democracy, Dialogue and Debate)", that will take place on the 11 and 12 April 2006 in the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao.

The organisation of the conferences pursues a double objective:

- Make a contribution to the European ‘D’ Plan  (Democracy, Dialog and Debate).

- Approach the Basque citizens to the building process of Europe, showing the specific aspects from which the Basque Country and its citizens benefited in the last 20 years of membership to the Union, and what will obtain from a larger and more united Europe.

The conclusions of the conference have been transmitted to the European Commission as the contribution from the Basque Country to 'Plan D'.
