Gaztemundu is a program of the Basque Government since 1996. It is targeted to the youngsters of all the Basque Clubs in the World, and consists of a two week stay in the Basque Country, with two main goals: show those youngsters of the Basque Clubs the country of origin of their ancestors and offer them an education that can be very useful to continue their work once they are back in their Basque Clubs, making easier the involvement of the young generations in them.
The requirements to participate in the program are:

Be between 18 and 30 years old in January 1.

Keep residence out of the borders of the Basque Autonomous Community.

Be member of a Basque Club that has been recognized by the Basque Government and registered in the Official Register, since at least three years before.

Write an essay or report about an issue proposed in the annual Resolution.

Have never previously attended Gaztemundu.
