●     Born in Barakaldo (Bizkaia) on 19 May 1962. Married with 3 daughters.

●     Holder of a doctorate in Economics and Business Studies from the Universityof Deusto.

●     Holder of a Master’s Degree in Advanced Management from the Commercial University of Deusto.

●     Holder of a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Studies from the Commercial University of Deusto.

●     Languages: Basque, Spanish and English.

●     Councillor on the Municipal Council of Barakaldo (1990-1991).

●     Head of Services at the Basque Government Department of Land Use, Housing and the Environment (1995-1999).

●     Councillor for Economic Promotion at the Provincial Council of Bizkaia (1999-2003).

●     Councillor for Innovation and Economic Promotion at the Provincial Council of Bizkaia since 2003.

●     Academic experience: Lecturer in various subjects (Marketing, Marketing Information Systems, Market Research, Business Organisation and Administration) since 1990 at the University of Deusto and currently at the University College associated with the University of the Basque Country.
